It is also the most powerful vacuum. It is able to clean up the dirt that has deeper particles or more pet hairs unlike other mid-range models, like the Roomba 960. This is due to the fact that the cleaner has larger brushes that rotate counter-clockwise and an engine that has more suction power.
The Roomba 995 is iRobot’s least expensive vacuum that comes with recharge and resume. However it isn't equipped with the auto-empty feature that the I6+ or I7 offer. It also lacks iAdapt 2.0 navigation, as well as the camera that the I7 uses to detect objects and avoid obstacles. Although it isn't equipped with some of the latest features such as map-saving or selective room cleaning the 960's navigation is far superior to other robots. It also has a larger dirt bin than the 690.
